Survival Of The Fittest
2025

Traditionally, textile art in Greece used to refer to delicate artworks that were created with complex hand-crafted processes, and
which were then safely stored away. On the other hand, ceramic objects such as the ‘Kioupi’, a large container used for storage in
ancient times, have now been re-adapted in modern society as decorative objects, often placed in gardens or interior spaces to be
admired. The series of textile ‘Kioupia’ is an attempt to bring textile art into the spotlight, by creating textile objects that can stand
independently in a space and display their intricacy.
