Flesh & Fabric

2025

‘Soft imprints‘ is a handwoven sculpture that blurs the threshold between skin and surface, body and garment. The organic form is crafted in an experimental and expressive hand motion, free from the constraints of a loom and in a color palette evocative of skin and grounding earthy tones. Retaining the fluid softness of fabric, the work creates an abstract anatomy, where folds and contours suggest flesh in flux. It resists containment, gesturing toward the body not as a fixed form but as a mutable, expressive landscape. In this sculpture, fabric is not merely worn, it becomes a second skin, a site of memory and gesture.
