Both sculptures stem from an exploration of ambiguity. Created specifically for this exhibition under the theme ‘Knots’, they continue an experimental textile technique the artist has been developing, one that transforms delicate textile elements into sculptural forms. ‘Tangled Embrace’ evokes a nurturing yet complex environment, while the labyrinth-like ‘Fluid Ambiguity’ reflects the impulse for self-contemplation. Negative spaces and fluid colour transitions enhance the works’ dimensionality, while the intricacy of fine threads and manipulated fabric emphasizes their organic form.
